About the guy behind the company

In 2008, I was a project superintendent overseeing a close-knit crew of carpenters and subcontractors on a routine tenant build-out. My leadership style had always been shaped by a sense of camaraderie—something I learned from my father and grandfather, both union carpenters and military veterans like me. I believe in building strong teams where trust and collaboration are at the core. But one day, a single moment changed everything.

While I was discussing measurements with the lead carpenter, I heard the foreman of the electrical crew shouting my name. His urgency struck a sense of action. I followed him quickly, rounding a corner to find one of my own crew members lying motionless, tangled in a utility scaffold. Blood pooled on the floor, and the silence in the room was deafening.

In that instant, my priorities shifted. The man on the ground wasn’t just a worker—he was someone I knew well, a friend of my father’s. As we scrambled to manage the chaos, I was flooded with regret. I had seen him setting up that scaffold earlier and felt something wasn’t right, but I’d brushed the thought aside in the rush to stay on schedule. I trusted his experience and kept moving forward.

That day, his life—and mine—changed forever. Sitting in a deposition weeks later, answering hard questions from lawyers, the weight of that moment hit me fully. Safety is not a checklist or an afterthought. It’s an uncompromising commitment to every individual on a job site. From that day forward, I resolved never to ignore a safety risk again, no matter how small or routine it seemed.

This experience didn’t just shape my career—it gave me a mission. I knew I had to make safety simpler, actionable, and meaningful for teams in the field. I needed to ensure that compliance wasn’t just about meeting regulations but about building a culture where safety is led by the people doing the work, embraced as a shared responsibility, and ingrained in every decision.

Over the years, I’ve earned several certifications from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), including:

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • Safety Management Specialist (SMS)
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)
  • Safety Trained Supervisor – Construction (STS-C)

These credentials, combined with my decades of field experience and academic pursuits—I am currently a doctoral candidate in occupational safety and health—position me as a safety and regulatory compliance expert. But what truly sets me apart is my passion, born from personal experience, to prevent tragedies like the one that shaped my journey.

Today, I specialize in simplifying regulatory compliance and empowering teams to build an employee-led culture of safety. Through practical tools, engaging training, and tailored safety systems, I help organizations protect their people, avoid costly mistakes, and meet compliance standards without unnecessary complexity.

I do what I do because no family should ever get the call that their loved one won’t be coming home from work. Every project I take on is driven by that purpose—to ensure safety isn’t just a policy but a way of life for every worker, every day.

Let’s partner to create safer workplaces and better outcomes for everyone.
