Teaching assumptions, primary sources & limits

H-07, K-07, F-07, A-07, R-07, worker/tool masses, inspection observations, labels, limits and site records are fictional. Original schematics are not manufacturer products, exact assembly guides or proof of strength. No fall or load is applied. An inspection score does not establish donning/fit, anchor suitability, actual clearance or prompt rescue.

The system exercise uses a construction Subpart M case. Typical construction unprotected-edge and general-industry fall triggers differ, and task-specific provisions/exceptions matter; a single height is not a universal rule. Construction PFAS inspection is before each use; 1910.140 requires inspection before initial use each workshift. Exact equipment instructions and conditions may require additional inspections. Read the applicable course and actual task requirements.

The F-07 baseline calculation is only for a specified single energy-absorbing lanyard, anchor at initial dorsal D-ring height, a standing worker, no extender, no edge contact and no horizontal-lifeline deflection. It measures from the anchor connection to the first lower obstruction. The five supplied allowances total 17.5 ft, including separate 1 ft movement and 2 ft additional safety allowances. They are fictional teaching inputs, not universal product values or a real design calculator. Do not apply them unchanged to an SRL, an anchor below the D-ring, a leading edge, a horizontal lifeline or different geometry.

The supplied A-07 record assumes the actual structure/installation/design review is complete for that case; selecting an icon cannot establish this. OSHA construction anchorage criteria include a 5,000 lb-per-attached-worker route or a complete system with at least a twofold safety factor under qualified-person supervision, independent of platform-support anchorage. This lab designs or certifies neither route. It does not make a side ring or guardrail a fall-arrest anchor.

Fall-loaded equipment is removed from service. OSHA provides a competent-person review condition for possible reuse; actual manufacturer retirement instructions may require disposal. This lab never returns a loaded/deployed set to use. A manufacture date alone does not establish a universal retirement date. Rescue capability must be assessed for the actual task; no physical rescue method is taught.

The manufacturer reference illustrates device-specific instructions and different lanyard/SRL clearance references. Its product values or instructions are not represented as approval of H-07/K-07. No manufacturer illustrations, logos or manual pages are republished. Federal source review: October 27, 2026. AI-assisted development; independent technical, accessibility, device and learning validation remain pending. Actual employer, manufacturer, jurisdiction and industry requirements remain separate.
