Fictional procedure, scope & primary sources
EC-03 v1 · supplied teaching assumptions
M-03, its interlocked transfer machine, procedure, people, devices, records and readings are fictional. E-1 is the specified lockable electrical disconnect; A-1 is the specified lockable air-isolation valve. The example inputs are 480 V supply, 90 psi air and an 80 kg raised head. These are descriptive teaching inputs, not field specifications or device ratings.
A compatible personal lock/ID-tag arrangement, correctly rated restraint R-03, pressure indication P-03, safe remote bleed and outside-access mechanical lowering fixture are supplied assumptions. R-03 is installed without anyone beneath the raised head. It is secured before pressure relief. Restoration lowers the head mechanically to a stable rest with electrical and air isolation still locked; it does not require energizing this fictional machine. Actual equipment requires its own designed and verified method.
Electrical record Q-17 is provided by a fictional qualified person. The learner reviews the record; no probes, energized conductors, cabinet access or live electrical-testing instructions are simulated. A control try and pressure gauge are not absence-of-voltage testing. The pressure challenge supplies a 15 psi reaccumulation event and a separate protected correction record with fresh post-correction electrical evidence Q-17R; no learner fault repair is simulated. Continued verification is required in real work wherever hazardous reaccumulation is possible.
The restoration station is a separate two-person scenario with a supplied shared-hasp arrangement at both isolators. Alex and Jordan each retain control of their own personal devices. The coworker event represents Jordan removing Jordan’s devices. Exceptional absent-person removal, group lockboxes, shift transfers, temporary energization for testing, tagout-only protection and industry-specific schemes require their own procedures and are not fully practiced here.
